When I talk to people about The Kingdom of Israel being made up of two houses (Israel and Judah), it is so foreign to what they learned in church that they have a hard time grasping what I am saying. After all, Israel is Israel – right?

As you can see from the page about the book Israelology, there are several different meanings for the word Israel. Only one of them refers to the country that we are familiar with in the mid-east and that one was actually established by the House of Judah. That’s why we refer to the people who live in that country as “Jews”. Of course some of them have roots in one of the other tribes but to understand the truth about Israel, you have to understand how Israel was formed and how the birthright name was legally passed on. There were conditions that had to be met to qualify to be called Israel. That’s why this book is so important. It clears away a lot of the miss-conceptions we have about Israel and digs down to the truth.

Why is that important?

Understanding the truth about Israel brings a new appreciation for God’s plan of salvation and how He is dealing with mankind. When you look back over history and see how He has nurtured, disciplined and protected His people, you begin to see it as an ongoing work. God often works behind the scenes but His goal is the same today as it was when Israel was first formed. He allows circumstances to occur that will ultimately produce mature sons and daughters who will be qualified to administrate His Kingdom in the Earth. In Romans chapter 8 they are called the sons of God. In other places, the Bible refers to them as “he who overcometh”. Like David, they have learned to love God and delight in His ways. I believe that like Jesus, they will say and do only what they see the Father saying and doing. Through their ministry, the Kingdom of God will grow and spread throughout the Earth even as Daniel saw it in the vision of the stone that was cut out without hands and cast into the Earth (Daniel 2:35).

The Scriptures admonish us:

2Ti 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Joh 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Joh 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Joh 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Don’t be afraid to seek out God’s truth. He has given us the Holy Ghost to guide us and the Scriptures to help keep us on track. If that isn’t enough, He promises that we will hear His voice leading us on. As long as we have a heart to know and love God, He will direct our steps and we’ll get to know Him better along the way.

Israelology is simply the study of the House of Israel and the House of Judah which under King David were united as the Kingdom of Israel. It has to do with how Israel began, what happened to it and what that means to us today. Did you know that understanding Israel’s relationship to God will affect how you relate to Him?

The Houses of Israel and Judah dominate the scriptures from the time of King David until they were both sent into captivity. God sent the House of Israel into captivity to Assyria, where they lost their national identity. Never the less, the Biblical prophets continued to prophesy of their actions and their future. The House of Judah went into captivity for 70 years in Babylon, after which only a remnant of them returned to Judea. Each House had a destiny to fulfill. These destinies are still being worked out today. God is fulfilling all of the prophecies as they relate to these Houses and to us personally.

What drives the destiny of these Houses? Many in the Church have heard the term “birthright” applied to the Tribes of Israel but without a clear understanding of its importance. Even fewer know that it has two parts, the Dominion Mandate (Rulership) and the Fruitfulness Mandate (to establish the Kingdom). These Mandates are what Jacob purchased and stole from his brother Esau. Before he died, he bestowed one on the House of Israel and the other on the House of Judah. Jesus was the recipient of one of these Mandates in His first incarnation. He will soon return to receive the other.

Israelology is not just another Bible Study. It contains information that is not taught in most churches today. By the time you finish reading this book, you will understand more about God’s Plan of Redemption and how it relates to Israel. The term Israel is used different ways, at different times, in the Bible. You need to know which Israel God is referring to in the Scriptures. In addition, you need to understand how you fit into His Plan.
